Gift certificates are redeemable codes that you can sell and have customers use to purchase products at your site. These certificates are similar to what is used at physical retail stores, like gift cards.
You can sell gift certificates as a product if you want your customers to be able to pay via gift certificates. If you want to disable, you can set the option in Settings > Store > Invoices > Allow Gift Certificates
Managing Gift Certificates
You can view the eCommerce store’s available gift certificates in Products > Gift Certificates > View Gift Certificates. Click on Create Certificate to manually add a new one. In Gift Certificate Details, you can generate the code for it, and set the names that this certificate is from and who it is going to.
You can view the redemption amounts for each gift certificate in Products > Gift Certificates > View Gift Certificates.
