The simple forum module allows you to build community among your members by allowing them to publicly post their ideas, issues and questions.
If you want to use the simple forum module, you can activate it in Help and Support > Forum Topics > Activate Forum
To view your forum:
Where yourdomain.com is your eCommerce installation URL
You can view the simple forum settings in Settings > Support > Forum
- Enable Simple Forum – Enable or disable the simple forum
- Moderate Forum Topics – Moderate new topics and replies first before publicly making it available
- Enable BBCode – Allow BBCode tags in forum posts
You can set administrators to get alerts for forum posts. You can set this in Settings > Manage Admins > Edit Admin > Admin Alerts tab. Set the Alert on New Forum Topics Made to Yes
Allow User Moderation
If you want certain users to moderate your posts, you can enable this option in their members area under Contacts > Manage Contacts > View All Contacts > Edit User > Profile tab > Permissions tab and set the Allow Forum Moderation to Yes.
Managing Forum Posts
To view your forum posts, go to Help and Support > Simple Forum > Forum Topics. Click on a forum topic to view the thread and post your reply.
